Good morning to all!

Public education doesn’t inspire you because it’s not designed to, it’s designed to demotivate you. Public education teaches you to respond correctly to authority. That’s it, that’s the purpose of public education summarized for you.

Public education is when I say, "Jump!" you say, "How high?" that’s it. No culture, no cultures you see every day in your society, nothing about law, medicine... Things that are more important than the historical figures of your country. There’s no reason for you to have to know the history of your country, and I know it’s crazy, but why do you have to know the history of your country?

You are the history of your country. Your grandmother can tell you more about the history of your country than any book ever written, that’s the people you need to talk to, that you need to get your wisdom from. Nothing about "this invaded this, that’s king of that, queen of the other". That’s useless information, and your brain is filled with it for 15, 20 years until you end up not knowing who you are!

And that is what is called madness, but they call it sanity. Because if you can quote the history of Holland for example: "The Dutch did this, the Dutch did that," you are considered a cultured and educated guy, but what you are studying is useless. This I say respectfully, of course you have to know the history, we must all know about the Earth in which we live.

What I mean is, when you put that knowledge before the knowledge of yourself, history ceases to be so important. What you need is courage to be you. You need a reason, a reason to be you. That’s where hip hop comes in.
