Not made of sugar
I am in Helsinki for 2 days of training and just before lunch I started feeling ill. I made it to the end of the day before retiring to the hotel for a nap and since I felt a little better and hadn't eaten since dinner the night before, I ventured out into the night in search of food.
Monday's aren't great in Finland for options and I ended up settling on a really good Meze salad.
However, I have never been in Helsinki with the opportunity to take photos at night and sick or not, raining sleet or not, screw it. These are the images I took on my EM-1 that I transferred over to my phone to crop down to 16:9.
The weather really isn't good here and I was asked twice if my camera could firstly capture anything worthwhile in the rain and secondly, how it held up in the rain. I wish I shot in the rain more at night, it is gorgeous and I can't wait to actually edit tgese. The EM-1 is weather-proof if using a PRO series lens. I have never tested how weather-proof but, I am a little rough with my cameras in general.
Afterall, they are made to capture life and, I am not made of sugar.
Back to the hotel to maybe write a little. I only brought my phone with me instead of carrying two laptops (work). I don't log in to my work one as IT has a great deal of access due to the nature of the business.
Not made of sugar but... I do have trust issues. :)

Great pics and great you were able to be out and about! I often try to do the same when traveling for work (on my way to airport right now for early flight) but also find myself too tired to discover the city. Always great to have these experiences though!

Normally when I have been in Helsinki overnight it has been for an event or at a friends place so getting out alone is a treat, even if feeling under the weather. I love exploring cities with a camera and I will likely be in Helsinki from time to time for work (and a few other places) so I can satisfy my curiosity a little.
I think we all have trust issues the larger the accounts become. it is not just the value anymore but the time and effort that has gone into it. it's not priceless, but pretty damn close. Hope you are feeling better.
If Steem died, even though I could have all my posts, it would make me very sad to lose all of the interactions and relationships between them.

I don't know where you took this picture but I have been here with my family in 2016 (was around Feb and the water was forzen)
Nice to hear from you and hope you are well mate. It is down by the harbour near the marketplace. It was a bit slushy and I wouldn't be walking on that sea ice :) I live north from Helsinki and am rarely down here so it was good to get out.
Had some health issues.... Just got through a small surgery (last week) to resolve it and hoping for the best for myself :-)
