Adelie penguins simply being Adelie penguins

I must admit that I do enjoy flicking through old photos from the previous season I spent down south and put up a few adorable pictures of penguins to help make everyone's days just a little bit better. These animals do have the ability to make most people smile and feel a bit happier, which is something I do not mind contributing to at all.

These guys are Adelie penguins and are a breeding colony in an area known as Brown Bluff, which is actually on the Antarctic continent itself. During the early part of the season (Nov-Dec) most penguins are still incubating and taking care of their eggs because they actually lay 2 per season. So when you are amongst a breeding colony this is a typical sight where they are lying down on their respective eggs whilst their partner forages in the local waters. However, as is true in most things in life there is always that one, an exemption to the rule, an outlier, someone who just doesn't like following the rules.
