'Riddick'

A dark sculpture reminding of the main character from The Riddick Chronicles. The strength is accentuated by the use of the dark areas and light background. Notice the mild shadows on the wall in the background. They are put there to close the composition and make sure the statue stands out even more. The specific bottom backlight from both sides works along with that intention.

Notice the subtle use of colour. There are only blue and yellow in seriously small amounts. What makes it interesting is that the blue is present in the darkest areas in a form of several accents, while yellow exists all over the rest. The scarce use of colour often aspires to higher, learned taste in art forms. It is not easy to do and even harder to appreciate unless understood.

Almost black and white, right? Well, not so much at all! Notice the little brown part and what it does. :D
