Safe travels! I love nature and especially water shots. It must have been spectacular there. I'm jealous!

Thanks! Yes, it's beautiful - all the rock formations in this state are amazing. We're going home again tomorrow, just a quick (2.5 hour) journey. Yes, it really is that far to the "next town" in many cases here!

I see what you mean! I do like the tranquil water shots too, but the action shots are so much more dynamic!
Exactly and yes, tranquil water shots are cool, but rapids should never be tranquil. :-)
I discovered this difference a few years ago when we were up in the Gorge somewhere and I took shots from the various angles and tried to work out why the downstream shots just weren't as nice despite the scenery.
I will share one in a few weeks (my backlog of photos is getting quite severe now.) where it was impossible to get the more active shot, but it's still cool.

Great shots, @viking-ventures! That water seems to be very, very cold! Not a good place for a bath, is it?
Thanks! I suspect it's very, very cold in spring... At least there wasn't any white stuff on the ground still, but it would still be cold. I'll find out later in the year, perhaps, whether it warms up in the summer - probably not much. :-)
Besides, it spends about 2 hours underground not far downstream from here... so chilled again.
Thanks for stopping by!
