Havann'a good time...

The romantic version about the way these cigars got their name goes like this: the name of the cigar brand comes from the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas "The Count of Monte Cristo" - it is this novel that was read aloud by workers specially hired in the factory founded by Alonso Mendez, future owner of the Montecristo brand. The cigar rollers, listening to the reading of the novel, have released from their fingers large cigars, true works of art. As a thank to the literary masterpiece, Alonso Mendez decided to name this cigar Montecristo.
