Halloween!
'Tis the season for kids and candy, ghosts and ghouls, and carousing in costumes. Do you partake?

Some time in our early teens, people answer their doors on halloween night and start giving you the "aren't you a little old?" guilt trip. Personally, if a kid wants to stay a kid longer and enjoy some exercise and candy rewards instead of getting into trouble or staring at an ipad, I am all for that.
My routine is generally a flask and some @davedickeyyall, and a chilly walk around to too many houses with the kids. They love it so much and I am happy enough to become a candy pack mule so that they can bring in the big haul. The fact that they don't like Coffee Crisp is just a bonus ;)
Maybe it is because I end up spending my time with a bunch of performers that costumes really never died out for us. My brother plans his costumes out for a while and is excited as hell for the Halloween party, and the regular Halloweenaokie (Karaoke in full costume.)
Looking back on a few of the costumes over the years, I thought you might get a kick out of them.

As you can see, we are all celebrities in our own minds on any given day. On Halloween though, we crank it up to 11 and enjoy it like we were kids.

Before people used to go to cemeteries to put candles on grave and now they go to parties to drink. Dunno, dont like it TBH :D
For me, it was first a chance to dress up and get ass loads of candy. Then, it was a glorification of the macabre and pagan stuff that was enjoyable to watch the devout begrudgingly accept.
Now, just another opportunity to break from the norm and have a little fun.
What I find hilarious is all of the costumes having a sexy version (sexy kitten, sexy maid, sexy vampire etc) for all the repressed prudish women. Just be sexy all the time if you want!
Haha yeah, I get u :D it's not actually even this, but the whole concept how people here throw traditions out of the window cuz they see "cool" stuff in Hollywood movies :D
