Great Mosque of Kairouan
Cemetery outside the walls of the Great Mosque of Kairouan, Tunisia. This huge mosque is considered one of the most important in Islam. Apparently seven pilgrimages here is equal to one pilgrimage to Mecca and many consider Kairouan to be the 4th holiest city in Islam.
Another interesting fact is that many of stone used to build the Great Mosque originally come from Carthage.
