Street Photography in a rice field!?
We were driving through some small villages in the Guilin District on the Saturday morning when I noticed a bare patch where the locals are busy harvesting the rice. For me, the bare patch resembled the form of a heart. I was instantly intrigued. We stopped, walked closer and took a photo of it. This ended up being an hour session amongst the locals while they are going about their daily activities harvesting the rice (and on the field next to them another group were busy planting maize).
So, the question is, when do we classify such an activity as street photography, and when is it just travel photography?
I would like to hear your comments in this regards. Looking at the definition, street photography is supposed to take place in public places, harvesting rice is most like on their private property, so maybe the above photo qualifies as street photography because I took it from the street, when the two photos below, where I am actually amongst the people will not qualify...
This is my (long overdue) entry for my weekly #streetphotography.
Hope you like it.
PS. I am on my way for a weekend away in the Longji rice fields, so hopefully, you will see more rice field activity in the future!

Excellent post streetphotography.
Not so sure about what makes these photographs street or travel photos. The first one is so different for me the whole photograph is art. The art of the harvest, the stacking, the colors, the People and of course the shape. 🐓🐓
