The Red Admiral Feasting On Fallen Plums

When I was just relaxing in the garden last summer I could not believe my eyes when I looked to my right and within 2 meters of were I was sitting a Red Admiral landed and to land right next to a fallen plumb and a few leaves it looked like it was a still life shot and I had placed everything just as I wanted them, then I realized it had landed on top of a squashed plumb so it was down for a plumb feast.

I am certain it was this shot above that I had taken from my seat, I didn't move an inch, great when you have a can of lager in one hand and your phone locked and loaded ready for the Admiral in the other.

I am very happy with the photo while relaxing in the 2 days of Sun we may have here in the UK. Ok, 3 days.

The colors are fantastic the orange really stands out with the black back, or should I say the red really stands out myself and the boss (my wife) was having a debate over the color, for me Orange the boss Red. Whatever the color The Red Admiral is a beautiful butterfly.

By this time I was more interested in heading towards the fridge for another cold can of Lager.
the Admiral had taken off. Until there he was having some digesting time in the tree coming from my neighbors garden.
