Milford Landing walkway

Last year Milford City did a refurbishment of a walkway from New Haven Avenue down to the Fowler field area, when they started the work many people were not too happy with the project as they cut down a lot of trees that were along the edge of the old walkway by the river, however I think the end result looks quite nice and they have planted new trees which will grow along the area.

but my focus of this post will be on some of the benches they have put in beside the new walkway, each of them hosted by some group in Milford such as this first one by the Milford Irish Heritage Society, I think these marble benches look so cool.

THis next shot is another one of these benches labelled with Founders walkway which I think is the official name of this walkway.

You know? I just love walkways like this. It seems every single one I've ever been on had something that was just too cool along the way. These benches look just spectacular and I could see me with a cup of coffee and my Kindle leaking away some serious time there.

Thanks for another great walk. This is really my alltime favorite thing that I do on Steem and I really appreciate it.

I to love walkways like this as well, and to be right beside downtown it’s great you can shop if you want or go and s
Walk here and take. Seat and read a book if shopping is not your thingsThanks for the kind support i am loving seeing the Wednesday walk slowly growing and seeing more walks from around the world each week

Those are some pretty cool benches. I like that they were able to leverage some of the community groups to help offset the cost.

I too though that was good that they worked with the community Group for this project and I think they did a great job on the area it looks so much better now than it did before

Dang, the bag around the stem of that tree kinda takes away from the otherwise beautiful shots, especially on that last one. Not your fault of course, they're still great pictures!

Yes I thought the samei considered editing it out, but I like for the most parts to show things as they are, apparently the bags should come down once it warms up a bit they are supposedly there to protect the growing trees but I am not so sure of that

Love marble benches. I remember when I used to walk around downtown Indianapolis at lunchtime the marble benches were scattered around all of the historical monuments and buildings. Many had nameplates attached. Perfect for a brief lunch :) Great shots @tattoodjay

I know I have seen marble benches before but cannot remember where maybe it was when I visited Indianapolis a few years back I to think they are so cool
Thanks for your visit
