Materials:

  • Pendulum bob:

  • Cork: it is used to support the thread/string

  • String:

  • Stopwatch: It is used to take the time for any specific oscillations. It is measured in second.

Tie the string to the Cork placed to the retort stand. At the other side of the string, tie the pendulum Bob. Oscillate the pendulum Bob and take your readings for 20 complete oscillations.

Ensure the length is reduced as given. For example, 100cm, 80cm, 60cm, 40cm, and 20cm.

The experiment will be repeated for four other values by adjustment of the length.
