I live 2 miles away from a small regional airport "Hilversum". Small planes and gliders take of here and an occasional helicopter. On sunny days we have some noise disturbance of hobby pilots but not too bad.

Last monday however I went for some shoppings on the bike riding past this airport and ariived at the shops further on I heard sirens and a helicopter arriving to the airport. At that moment I did not think much it.

Thirty minutes later I came back to the same road and now saw the helicopter and this time I could see it was a (yellow) traumahelicopter. So maybe a crash or an accident ? Indeed the road now was blocked by firedept people.

Well this is what happened a few minutes after I drove by the first time:

Apparantly the instructor and a student left the airport but the motor in a TL 3000 Sirius stottered according to a lady witness. Turning the plane to get back did not succeed as you can see. The two pilots are rescued, cleaned from Kerosine as the plane was leaking all it's fuel and are OK. (thumbs up).

Latest news is that they were practicing emergency procedures...…a bit too seriously I guess.
