NEVER GOING TO FORGET.
Something is missing, I'm sure of it.
This feeling, unpleasant, though it wasn't because of my hospital release.
It's worse than when I almost drowned during a storm, I insist.
Even as I sleep under this oak tree,
I understand my heart is a void, empty, cold.
In the night sky, the stars shimmer above me.
They twinkle as if to tell me something, but I know not.
I cry, hugging and blaming myself.
I caress these flowers that grow beautifully around me as I had gotten a thought.
I know I was never alone.
I know it now, as the wind blew my hair gently.
"You were always with me," I smile at the sky, "even if you turned to star dust, you've always known . . ."
