Before this burning candlelight
Your memories came to me tonight
As the pretty damsel
Whose hefty hips sway
Like the pendulum of a school bell
That calls pupils to a new day.
The doom of several women
Whose husbands fell at your sight
And no longer went home to their women.
You moulded my husband into a puppet
And emptied his wallet
Until he can no longer afford a singlet.
The detectives are yet to find out
What happened on the evening you went out
And got knocked down
By an unknown car at the new park in town.
Anyway, only what matters now
Is that husband and I share the bed at night.
