Moon - An Original Poem

You sprawling pan of light
That illuminates the darkness across the mountains
By cleverly positioning yourself
Like a deadly striker
In the eighteen yards box.

You chameleon of light
That transforms into a banana by night
And a glowing water melon
At the month's conquest.

You silvery Brobdingnagian bulb
That invokes awe and splendour
From children that listen to night tales
Beneath your intimidating shadows.
