Final journey

in #poem6 years ago

Art thou a man of value and grandeur
Who had acquired splendour and pleasure
All enclosed in a golden box
With its lid made of lead?

images (3).jpeg

Art thou a man of strength and valour
Who combats with dreaded beast
Or the one who can soar higher
Than the strong feathers of an eagle?

Art thou a man of vision and mission
Whose aim remains clear and luminous
Even when the face of fortune fair
Has been clouded by adversities?

Art thou a man of knowledge and wisdom
Whose solomonic sagacity
Is valued beyond the sea, and has
Become the song on the beaks of the birds?

Never forget in thy findings that the jockey
Will one day retire
From the withers of the stallion
Of which he has found a ride

And thou shall metamorphose
To thy real form
For thou art nowt
But dust and clay...
