POEM: ASSESSING LOVE
In the space of my heart
Lies your body
From head to toe
That courses sparks through veins
From core to extremities
From the ground to the sky
Your pulse is vital
When it goes
I spend everything to restore it
Until I have nothing
But I could start at the end
I have nothing if we are slightly
Misaligned, shadows off center
Even as I begin
To regain my “I am”
We are destined to unity
For some time
Until the end is not far
