The High Seas- Original Poetry
Of krakens tooth and nightmares claw.
Row your hardest, swing that oar.
When all is done, cast away, lost.
That is when you'll pay the cost.
I rose aloft on darkling seas.
Thrown clear of my necessities.
That tiny boat broke on the shore.
Tangled in nets, I learnt the score.
Sang heartily too.
Tempted fate, rolled my die.
After all I only had one.
I'm sure you've figured it out by now.
That price, was you.
My boy.. My Son!
Into the Krakens Maw he's cast.
Had to tie him right to the mast.
Never made a sound as he went down.
Father of mine, I take your crown.
