Every night I look up at your smile.
Lighting up the place with a toothy grin.
Forever letting the bright of day rebound from your skin.
I know it's cold up there my friend.
How I wish I could take you in my arms to mend.
That craterous tortured face.
Marred by meteoric disgrace.
Without your tidal movement.
We wouldn't hold our place.
The cosmos is forever turning.
Do you ever get sick of staring this way?
Such low gravity makes men into birds.
Arms swinging with each flying leap.
Neil, you are a hero to me.
Your steps eternal in the dust of time.
Now we look further away.
To Mars? To Venus? we contemplate our stay.
Light another candle for those that came before.
Without them we wouldn't sing this score.
