words are but an ingredient
of intent

spoken
to unready ears
open
to interpretation

extolations
to unknown deities

these things are done
a lot

we drive nails into
the wood of unready hearts
we exacerbate almost everything

wringing our hands
at the loose lips of our neighbors

trying to hide
trying to ride a ride
of illusion

let us first recognize the problem
before entertaining the trinkets
of unevolved solutions

let us rid ourselves
of selves
of belief
of emotion
of deception

let us recognize
the dignity inherent
in our basic form

the beauty of the universe's
reflection

ourselves
unmasked
uninhibited
unencumbered
under no duress
under no state
under no authority
naked

natural laws so blatant
so erruptive
so integral
so obvious
so basic
so easy to understand

if we just listen deep within
and forget all the babble
all the lies

if we are ready to step into
knowledge
wisdom
love
and uncomfortable work
