ADSactly Poetry - Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 14)

Hello Steemians! The ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds series is designed to be a sort of platform for sharing some of my greatest works with @adsactly readers.

Many of the verses I've shared and continue to share were written in collaboration with a friend of mine.

Others were written as solo projects and some made their way to the recording booth.

I find that collaboration brings many benefits most of which revolve around having someone to bounce ideas off of and sort of be challenged to pick up where the other has left off.

I've got another special piece for @adsactly readers today, this piece was written a few years ago and I remember having a lot of fun writing it!

I really hope readers enjoy this piece and let me know what they like about it.

Scientist - An Epic Journey (Part 1)

In a world where up is down they tell you not to do it but then they do it themselves.

We’ve had enough of this hypocrisy and they say that its democracy.

But I’d say that its just a pipe dream.

A nice bedtime story they use to tuck you to sleep.

So snuggle up with the lies while atrocities creep through the night...

Its do as I say and not as I do...

Deserters get shot in the head and dissenters do too...

Or go along with it and you might just live to see old age...

Time to give your approval and your ok.

They’ll see all liberties removed with no foul play...

Some say its better to be alive then to be free...

And then I’d say its not for me we gotta fight for both...

Scientist - An Epic Journey (Part 2)

There's no hope hiding in the shadows if we cant be free.

It's worth the risk of a trip to the gallows to achieve...

Making moves on the low so who's with me?

And the scientists are afraid to speculate how the world came to be this way...

It’s a puzzle with a few missing pieces...

Isn’t it funny how they put the truth on display seen by the eyes of people too stupid to believe it.

I firmly disagree with the diagnosis that the problems we face are hopeless...

No telling which direction we will take while all possibilities remain open.

My Thoughts on This Verse

These verses highlight a lot of my frustrations with the world.

In the beginning of verse 1 my frustrations are made clear highlighting the hypocrisy of our society. Politics, power, money, these are areas of society that normal everyday people don't seem to have much say in or control. That didn't happen by accident.

I talk about corruption and fear in society and how it keeps us enslaved. We can change things if we have a passion to do so however. I am really pleased with the messages delivered in these verses.

No matter what, I'd very much like to know your thoughts and feelings about this verse so if you liked it or didn't like it, I'd love to hear your opinion either way!

The mind is as powerful as we let it too be. It holds so many secrets and so many truths at the same time. We are using so little of it, but we cannot tell if we can manager more than that.
But, even if with a little more we can create so much. We can change the world, we can make our visions come true and just move the limits a little bit further. Amazing thing... the mind.

Your texts are loaded with a very libertarian reflection, @zentalk, which I believe should be the permanent motivation of every citizen of this world in permanent risk, from different flanks, of seeing our freedom threatened, with so many governments and means that attempt against it in different ways. I don't think it is necessary to be heroes (if the "epic" is due to that) to face these realities or dangers, because it is a daily task for everyone. Greetings.

I like some answerable poems, which seek to go against the established, reality that can sometimes be overwhelming and mean. I think it is the writer's duty to reflect his discontent with the things that happen every day, the injustices, the chaos. Writing is a way of letting off steam, but also a way of leaving traces, making our position clear with respect to those around us. Non-conformity and rebellion is part of the artist's DNA. Too bad you only talked about one poem. Thank you for sharing, @zentalk.
