ADSactly Poetry - Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 4)
Good day Steemians! Today I'll be sharing another original poem / lyrical verse with @adsactly readers.
Many of the verses I'll be sharing were written in collaboration with a friend of mine. I find that collaboration brings many benefits most of which revolve around having someone to bounce ideas off of and sort of be challenged to pick up where the other has left off.
This first verse is quite a bit abstract but for the most part I believe its about light triumphing over darkness. Its also about the polarized nature of the human mind and how its an unnatural state for us. We were all meant to work together and co-exist without division and suffering. At least that's what I'd like to believe.

The Opposite
It’s a low down thing those people that always try to tell us what to do but don’t seem to abide by their own rules….
Can ya hear the opposites in a world full a negatives and positives…
When did it change to a duality?
To a black or a white or a wrong or a right in a day or a night in the dark or the light…
I prefer to fight over flight so you pick should we go or should we stop and take a look around..
Cause a sound is born out of silence if you flip the world upside down even the most peaceful people will become violent…
And these moments in your life that can bring the most benefit can be the most trying…
So when the politicians talk I hear the opposite.
They say there’s hate in our hearts; I feel the opposite.
No longer bound by boundless hypocrites.
We are what we choose to believe.
The world is now what we make it and how we choose to see it.
Our most primal thought is of an optimist.
So unlock the shackles of misconception… Let go of those old grudges…
The only thing keeping us on the ground are our own judgements.
Sometimes we neglect the basic fact that were all cousins.
So lend ya brother a helping hand and try to end the suffering never listened to those that said I’d amount to nothing but rather kept on trucking.
I’d ask ya to do the same if ya get knocked down ya get back up again and if it happened twice ya'd get back up again.
If I had to pick one word to describe the human race I’d say resilience and I’d say on a last note I think it rings to the tone of a good feeling.
Inspiration
Do you have inspiration or do you not and a thought is worth more than a picture of which they say is worth at least a thousand words....
Where would we be without the birds and the bees and the oxygen we breathe that comes from the act of blowin trees...
So please believe that I know where you're coming from...
And from my many years upon this earth, I believe that it boils down to just two questions...
Should I run or should I fight for what I believe in...
As if what I believe in is the right thing to do...
As to each the choice which is made is what we say to each their own to choose...
Now a point on growin up!
Everybody needs a friend and at a young age love was about all we were searchin for...
But in ya teen years say the guy you thought was your friend didn’t have ya back and went behind ya took a stab at your girlfriend...
A natural reaction, first thought is to attack and hit back.
And now I realize she was a shady chick but that’s the business ain't it?
So lets call it good riddens they did me a favor..
Put that one on the wall of shame with a caption that says ‘growin pains...’
Cause a problem can just as easily be seen as an opportunity to find a new chick get a new spot on a new strip make a new hit cause that music’s in ya blood kid...
So that’s a few words of wisdom to the youth.
The young minds in due time which’ll seek the truth...
It wont take long to find just the bravery to look and put the pieces together...
They’ve been doin it since legos, try all ya want to make a sellout some they can't be put on ya payroll.
Final Thoughts on 'The Opposite' and 'Inspiration'
I feel each of these verses sort of compliment each other. The opposite is a ballad to striking out and daring to be unique.
Overcoming obstacles is more than possible it is your future if you really put your mind to it.
With regard to inspiration, we all have set backs but in order to make our lives the best they can really be we need to be inspired. We must be passionate about something!
I find that in long writing sessions that sometimes last weeks or even months it seems to do something to my mind, changing it in a way and really connecting me to a hidden source of inspiration.
I'd say that there's definitely momentum involved, perhaps a better ability to connect to true expression. In these verses I really feel like momentum assisted their creation.
I really want to connect with readers on these verses and see what any of you may have to add to the ideas presented above.

I like these poems inviting me to take inspiration, even from something that might be very opposite. we need to make opponents a mirror to look for our shortcomings. We don't need be angry if it's called black we don't need to be sad if it's called weak. If we are weak, we will improve so that we grow into strong individuals. And this inspiration makes us more able to adapt and enter in all aspects of life.Then we can do everything wisely
