Silent Salutations (An Original Poem)
with silent salutations
as our nights wander
on to tomorrow's shore.
the edge of desperation
as hope promises
an ever-open door.
my yi-xing pot
as aromatic steam
curls in lofty streams
making me, for a moment,
forget the grey
no insinuations, pretense,
nor enigmatic dreams.
with black and white
on a breeze floats a
harbinger of days ahead
hinting...
can wither and drop
dead from their vines
to nurture the wise
and give such sweet
reprise to those
who still believe.

Beautiful verse, I love the 3rd person point of view used in the poem, the imagery is dazzling and beautiful really and I can't help imagining the detail of events associated with things like the landscape. Beautiful theme here.
Beautiful and heartfelt poem, @ericvancewalton. I keep the first and last stanzas. Memories invade our air daily and return as aromas. There in front of us is a present that awaits us, as we look back at that tree of errors that grows, that makes us wiser and more human. Our days pass and we praise what we were, are and will be. No matter how tall the tree may be, it could never deny its roots. Nice day for you.
@ericvancewalton, Sometimes it reflects as everything is connected and everything is moving towards good essence. And i really like the Title too, it reflects as while using the silent salutations in the form of Thoughts we are trying to connect with every aspect and trying to joint the one story aspect with other. Life is beautiful if we can live up the Silent Salutations because then we can understand what is happiness, where it is, and how we can achieve it. Keep writing these in depth words.
