There could be big holiday troubles if UPS Teamsters strike,
Because a strike would be against both, the employer and union alike.
Due to a Teamsters union “rule”, a majority “No” vote has failed,
Making the union a partner of sorts, with a firm they should have assailed.
Membership voted, 54 percent, to reject UPS’s proposal .
This looks like union corruption, and members may seek its disposal.
A Hawaiian gecko made “bazillions of calls” in a hospital he’d gotten into.
Its walking over a touch screen phone, explained the big phone-calling miscue.
It made calls to lots of people, inside the hospital and out,
As it looked for bugs atop the dial pad, while it was just walking about.
Kim Kardashian’s back in the news, for wearing a skimpy bikini.
Some tweets inferred that it was North’s; that it was outrageously teeny.
Kim added a caption to the photo; “Chanel vintage”, is what it said.
It looks like Kim hasn’t responded yet; we’re expecting some fireworks ahead.

Scientists have found we’ve 25 years left, ‘til we’re done for, headlines blare.
We wondered if the article mentioned, that CO2 can be sucked from the air.
Or that Magnesite now is swiftly produced, drawing CO2 from air surrounding.
So we read it and found that it didn’t, which says a lot about views they’re expounding.
The more that we read about carbon dioxide, and how it’s a threat all around,
We still have to wonder what’s going on, when a solution to remove it’s been found.
94 dollars per metric ton is the cost to extract it from the air.
Yet all anyone continues to do, is to argue about how it got there.
Scientists now can produce a mineral, that could end the global warming.
In nature it takes hundreds of thousands of years, for the mineral, Magnesite’s forming.
The scientists’ method takes 72 hours, for Magnesite to be produced.
So, will they do this or like Co2 extraction, see to it that they’re never used?
The news, the news, there's so much in the news
The daily fabrications are so grand.
You likely won't be seeing much differing of views
Because they're all in lock step, understand?

Reading your poetry always makes me smile at some point. I know i said this before, but i really like your style :)
Nice of you to say that my friend. With the Daily Spigot posts that's my aim, to get a smile or a chuckle out of the reader, although I get a bit rough at times with Google & FB and their spying. It's difficult to add levity when I write about them, and also on other unfair matters like yesterday, when I wrote the one about GM's driverless car tech being declared as being good, when it was exposed fairly recently that execs at GM didn't fix a major issue that was killing people because it would hurt their bottom line. The best I can do on those is to try for a bit of wit amongst the damning words to be found by the reader. Have a great weekend & keep writing! 👍
Totally understand! This world is full of &#%$ that I personally feel very passionate to write about but I struggle to express my thoughts/emotions in form of article and such, that's why I love poetry more. But you, my friend, have exceeded this barrier and magically combined poetry with very valuable, informative news and made it enjoyable and easy to read. I sincerely could not stress enough how much I do appreciate what you're doing. I wish I have the power to help you reach more readers because people need to read and learn! But maybe someday I will, hopefully. You too have a great weekend :)
