If on your wedding eve
Your lover decides to break your heart
Putting you to shame before your loved ones
The world will not standstill

If you jump down Kilimanjaro
In protest of your miserable life
Your loved ones may for a while cry blood
But the world will not standstill

If you wake up in the morning
And discover that the flood of life
Has swept away the fruits of your labour
The world will not standstill.

The moon will not rule the day
Nor will the sun rule the night
No matter the calamity that befalls you
The world will not standstill.
