Vindicated (Poetry)
In the middle of an ocean in darkness
As the light fades, waves swells.
Lightning bolts beneath the gray skies.
Winds blowing, and into a motion of swaying.
The feeling of helplessness when you are trapped.
No place to go other than linger where your body lies.
Tide comes in, and the water surges.
Slowly submerging my feet up to my knees.
Stormy skies. Thunder roars.
Fear increases rapidly. Jittering.
Gradually drowning, breathless.
No one to rescue, and save my soul.
With eyes open until it voluntarily closes.
Tears build up, flow. Shivering.
Suddenly, the rain ceased. Water turns still.
The sun begins to peek, darkness starts to fade.
The obscured skies by clouds dissolve
The tide descends, fear diminished.
Vindication starts to fill my emotions.
Every component of my brain becomes cheerful.
