SOME NIGHTS
This is me in the dark
Weak,uncertain,confused,disturbed and worried
No one has it all worked out perfectly
These beautiful smooth cheeks have been bathed with tears a million times
Nights when the world comes crashing
My only consolation is the salty taste of my tears
Even the rumbling in my stomach is that of a lost battle.
But no one cares about these nights
They too have been served theirs to the fullest
The day light shouldn't know the colour of your tears
Neither should the sun have the honour of drying it up.
No one is given a load heavier than they can bear.
The nights should not be extended more than it's tick
You are stronger than your mind permits you to perceive
Slay the day.
