"Saying Goodbye" it is so very important
Saying good bye is something that is so terribly important.
It can be painful, or it can be tender,
It can be loving or,
In some cases
It can be hurtful and hateful.
But...
In all Cases,
It is so terribly important.
We never know; this
Might be the last time we ever speak to a person.
Saying good bye provides closure,
When you know
It is the final farewell.
What is tragic, incredibly so,
Is when we are robbed of the opportunity to say
Goodbye.
When events occur that are totally
Unexpected; an accident or a heart attack,
It is painful, but at least we can in some
Way cope, because these are natural
Things in life.
When we are robbed
Of our chance to say goodbye by
Some senseless act of insanity,
It is incomprehensible.
How Do We Wrap Our Minds Around This?
We can only forgive,
But not forget.
I for one,
Do not understand
Such Insanity;
don’t want
To either.
I Want Only
Love.

I should think it would be "close to the bone" for everyone, since loss is a part of
Life, but loss due to murder and mayhem is not such a common part of most,
And I pray it remain a rare thing for most people. Thank you Sharon.
