Night Rain
You are sleeping
While the trees
Slowly turn to glass.
Sometimes I feel
There is no difference
Awake or asleep –
The seasons turn
And the human passions
Are but a slight disturbance.
There is rain falling out there;
There will always be rain…
On the trees, on the houses,
Even on this window,
After we are gone.
Hay días en los que la tormenta termina, pero no llega la calma, @johnjgeddes. A veces la lluvia deja esos pocitos al final y tú, cual malabarista, brincas entre uno y otro para no caer en ellos. Pero hay otros días, en los que miras por la ventana y miras afuera y quieres ser Gene Kelly en Cantando bajo la lluvia: empaparte, cantar, ser feliz sin pensar mucho en el que dirán. Hay días también en los que el día está claro y brillante, pero es adentro de ti donde ha comenzado a llover, Y es entonces que escribes y el poema gota a gota, verso a verso, empieza a hacer pocitos en tu alma o se empieza a derramar. Que bonito fue leerte a esta hora. Te abrazo
Tú entiendes, Nancy, cómo estos elementales son estados de ánimo y la interacción entre el clima y nuestras emociones es lo que hace que cada día sea hermoso y único.
I don't know if I feel comforted by the continual rain, or saddened by it. I guess it should be neither. It's just a fact.
it's an elemental and we tend to see it through the lens of our moods - Rain is a beautiful sadness :)
