MOMENTS IN A GIFFY (An Original Poetry)

We built moments,
enthralled by imaginations,
charmed by the beauty of tomorrow,
seeing scenes in our crystal balls,
of tiny tall butterflies,
having picnics in the sunset,
and we're spectators
watching our world,
spin and spun
like the world whirling in circles

Moments dashed by,
a trance into the morrow,
a nightmare we now wish to forget,
under the sky's nudity,
our barest simplicity is shown
but in a moment of jiffy,
we realised we're but mere men,
at the edge of uncertainty,
breathing borrowed air,
in lungs owned by life's landlord.

Moments like this,
our pride is hewed like ash,
snugged into an ashtray
we're clattering down into reality,
from virtual heights,
built by Pompous ambitions
mere men we are,
with brains like Zeus,
with zeal to rule the world,
but in the loneliness of the night,
we're but bones and impunity

---

Our life's is but a tea cup,
smouldering with fragrances
cast away when it's cold as a graveyard,
sitting still, kings in our imaginations
beauty and beau, an ardour,
we adore flesh and blood,
unaware of the storms,
riding to crash our sand castles,
moments clattering through in a jiffy
and were nothing but dust,
when the heart goes on a long vacation

This is a poem about life's disappointments, when we place too much expectations on our abilities and when we fail we realise it's only been our pride because we're too unexpectant as a result of a miscalculated and misguided belief in our abilities to accomplish more than we think we can. @raj808 what do you think?
