THE PURGATORY WITHIN (An Original Poetry ➕ Poetry Connotations & Thoughts)

The gory story,
is etched, no scar no glory,
only the lungs can tell tales,
when it's failed to clasp life,
the bee's bumble is but insects without honey
even flower too without fragrance
but we run a journey uncertain,
a written episode with tragic epistles,
but one smoky pistol,
the horror rises within
Abandoned,
brown leaves and crumpled mistletoe,
Upturned boats, forgotten canoes.
the body is but a beacon left to rot,
no lost love,
no forlorn smile,
kisses are but for the bubbling,
Like crumpled empires with no diadems
A remnants of the raven's carrion,
The flesh is yesterday's decay,
tears will never flow on miry path,
because the world is a empty place,
with beings bearing brutal hearts
Howbeit the tempest has struck,
and the son of man is forever marooned,
never wept for in the rising of the moon.
Again, yet again.
graves are the only real home,
and life is where we roam,
for I dwell amongst men with crocodile feelings,
built fortresses on slippery ground,
dine with women with Judas's eyes,
the mile is yet untraveled,
but I grow weary of wandering wolves in the glade,
and this is the purgatory within.
Poem Connotations & Thoughts
The purgatory within is a poem that speaks about love gone sour and emotion only existing in the tip of the tongue and a total deception even totally unnoticeable. It stresses people's tendency of never displaying total loyalty even when they've sworn allegiance. In other words the purgatory within which happens to be the title connotes a certain conodrum a mountain of worry that burdens the poet. It's a weary feeling of wondering why human are slippery as an eel and unpredictable as lightening. Smiles and laughter and loyalty only comes when the road seems beautiful to thread and the tide seems glorious for a ride. It describes mankind's truest nature using a period of draught and plenteous
