does not want your worship
the spirits want to be free
to join the next incarnation
of our world

I wrote this poem thinking about how much we idealize people and what we remember them for. And I wonder how much they would want to be remembered for that thing or how accurate that thing is.
Can a spirit truly rest if we keep calling them back for something?
