Poem Of The Day: The Armor

THE ARMOR

The core is wrapped meticulously
Avoiding the butterflies that fly mindlessly.
The armor looks impregnable from a distance,
But it’s vulnerable to an invisible resistance.

Now the inevitable comes in display
Shoots arrow to the needle’s hole.
The four chambers are in disarray
With the electricity that is hard to control.

The strong armor wore on the battlefield,
Melts and has been unsealed.
Then the rain is falling on the cheeks
From the bloody moon, it leaks.
