Like communion, like the word,
Like heaven had come
Or was it hell? I will never know.
I was masturbating to the sight
Of your ecstasy as the world burned
On the surface of your skin.
When the axis broke beneath your feet
Like brooms, like earthen pots,
Like Atlas had crumpled into
Wet semen stained tissue
On the carpet, leaking seeds
That are lucky to have missed the earth tumbling.
The lights come on in your room,
To hear your whispered prayers
And your broken pleas for mercy.
I tried to tell you; ‘you burnt the world’
Then the world tilted and I knew
That it was I that was broken,
It was I that had burnt.
