a psychedelic truth

perhaps i am scared to lose that which is precious
to me whilst risking everything for a delicious
aftertaste of patience, which is bound to meet my lips.
i wish i felt the same about my trips,
but those i welcome always, and i never walk away
from a psychedelic truth, be it nighttime, be it day.
