Move On

If we were like flowers,
I imagine this ache in us
would make us wilt,
and as we lowered
down-with faces towards
the ground,
our necks would feel
this intense pain.

And imagine holding on
to grudges in the form
of the weight of a
thousand bricks.

How they tire.
How they burden.
How they pull you so
down that you are unable
to recognise who you once were.

You were once at your
peak as this blooming flower,
and the grudge held you
and changed you.

And now imagine
forgiveness as this
magnificent thing,
which pulls all your
heaviness away;
making their wrongs,
those endless bricks,
obliterate into nothingness.

This flower of you can
then once again move with
ever more freedom.

That's what we should remember
-- forgiveness doesn't mean
what they did didn't matter.
Forgiveness means you accept
you deserve so much more.

You deserve to move on and move freely.

It is difficult to move on ... and realize you deserve to .... but once you do ... there is no turning back .

Thanks.
