EVOLUTION - A Poetic Piece
With multiple life-forms
Whose earliest forms of life
Somehow differs with the present
Not by design
But by the power of evolution
Triggered by the instinct to survive and be.
If previous life-forms had failed to evolve
As all life-forms we know today,
Man, beast, and others with breathe
Would probably have ceased like some that we know
Through a process we dread and termed - Extinction
As did the Dinosaurs in our records of history.
To survive is to first adapt
So the ability to evolve is an adaptive instinct
For failure to evolve
Is a treat to existence
As seen with the Dinosaurs
Now extinct and history.
For our continued existence is hinged on it
For though life’s origin may be shrouded or unknown
But how we have survived
Has logically been proven
For everything that lives
Had somehow evolved.
