Forever With Us - A Poem

It feels just like yesterday,
And it still feels like a dream.
It hurts like never before,
And we are still filled with grief.
It’s still hard to believe,
Even with 18 years gone by.

We are still mourning you,
Still praying for you,
Still loving you,
Still missing you,
And always wishing you were still here.

But death could not erase you,
Neither could time.
Rather into the realms of immortality,
You gracefully transcended.

Cos you are alive in our hearts,
Always in our thoughts,
Even here in our midst,
In memories and in deeds,
You are forever with us.
