In 3rd Place

The Creator by @muftii reveals a man grappling with the immense power of the divine, his own destiny, and how the long road makes him stronger. Browsing the blog, I found many other interesting stories and paintings. I am certain you will enjoy these verses and the beautiful paintings that accompany them.

2nd Place

Time is a poem in which a young father ponders over the value of time spent with his son. It was generously submitted by witness @enginewitty Interestingly, this poem was penned fifteen years ago. I wondered if the writer wrote a new version of this poem today, how much or how little would be different? There are many who will find this poem relevant. We lead lives with ever-limited time to spare as we chase so many competing goals. We have to juggle the choices between academic pursuits and social engagements, family and job, do we strike out on our own or continue working for the company. It comes down to what we value most, but all hinges on the issue named in the title: TIME.

1st Place

send     death     home     written by Stephen Martin, a.k.a. @acousticsteveo is a poem skillfully decorated with clever alliterative choices that succeed in bringing to life the imagery in the verses. A poem about growing in understanding of our responsibilities, about generational consciousness; how much do we embrace from elders, why do we reject so much of the wisdom they attempt to hand down to us. I have my own interpretations about this poem but I believe this needs time to unfold.

Keeping the promo channel filled with gems for us to enjoy,
these were some of the other poems!

Orlando Medina @omedina88 shared When You Touch Your Wishes

Another was sent by Stephen Martin @acousticsteveo a poem called fool’s gold

eL of Manila wrote Woman on the Pedestrian Lane after seeing someone having a hard time crossing a street. .
