Poets United : Daily Dose Of Poetry and Prose #96 (@madevi edition)

Good evening everybody!
It is time for another Dose of Poetry and Prose!
Last week has been busy busy busy for me and i am still recovering from it a bit. As Angel and Vuds were also preoccupied with real life, it meant things got quiet a bit and more important that the Daily Dose was lagging. Enter Trumanity, a real lifesaver this dude! He stepped up to the plate and hit a few homeruns! He put some elbow in it and made some nice Doses! You can see he spent some time doing it as well. THANK YOU! I wish we had 5 more of your kind Sir! Recently i found this cartoon on youtube and although it is almost a century old, nothing much has changed... So, i invite you to watch that cartoon, which by the way is the very first Donald Duck cartoon. Which of the characters is you?

Well, now that i have that off my chest lets go on to the substance of this publication, the poetry.
As the arduous reader will know i don't like to over analize poetry, it should speak for itself in my opion. So, again, today i have read, re-read and made a selection out of todays entries.
And these are the three that stuck out for me:
In 3rd Place
Last, but not least, i chose @muftii's poem "When the pen got lifted...#11", i like the writing of this recent member of our community, he has a definite poetic vein running from his heart to his hand.
2nd Place
Second today is another recent joiner @omedina with a poem simply called "poem 30", a very unpretentious name for a small gem of a poem. kudos
1st Place
And first today, there ws no way around it, came @angelveselinov. I see he tapped into his soul again and worked on the "back log", he has four entries for this dose! Thee of those four really caught my attention, "how to live with what it is", "shape of you" and the final winner "If I close my eyes forever". Amazing stuff my friend, happy to see you back in poetic mode...

So, those were all the entries for this Daily Dose, i have to say i am amazed at the quality of so many of your pieces, this is one of the things that keeps me going. As long as there's progress i can believe. Progress isn't always easy to measure and Angel and me spend so many hours working on this vision we share, that it is not always easy to have a fresh view of things. But all in all i see a lot of positive signals. The Donald Duck cartoon made me think about why i do this, i hope it makes you think too...
