Remember this day
like photographs
on old albums
kept and stored
in dusty shelves
memories waiting
to be recalled
one by one
Remember this day
like a rose stored
in between pages
of worn-out books
its beauty kept
until the last petal withers
Remember this day
like riches hidden
in treasure boxes
buried beneath the earth
no one knows but us
Remember this day
like songs on vinyl
played on early mornings
as we dance to its rhythm
on the cold floor
with our bare feet
Remember this day
every second of it
the good, the bad
store it, keep it
treasured and latched
