Expectations For The Day (A Poem)
The rising sun gloriously beckons
Mist dispersing as morning comes
Beautiful dew-laden leaves
Shining like pure diamonds
Fresh morning air clearing up
The still sleepy mind, as if
Saying, "wake up! The day had begun!"
And so I prepare—with freshly
Brewed coffee I let my blood stir
Expectations filled my eyes with light
Wondering how the day will unfold with delight
Will it be a pleasant day? Or will
Something happen that'll get in my way?
Ah expectations! Let see what destiny
Is going to throw at me today
