Overpowering Light (A Poem)
With no sign of stopping
His heart keeps plunging
The temperature's droppping
Can he escape his fate
Despite the losing rate?
Can he overcome the hate
Even though it's late?
His life is a huge joke
That fate likes to poke
He is about to go broke
In misfortune he soaked
And with everything gone
He wanted to pull the gun
After all without the sun
His life is left without fun
But then he saw the light
It's so overpoweringly bright
He realized with fright
He's seeing a magnificent sight
Is this a sign from heaven?
Maybe his fate has softened?
Though he knows not what happened
Its gone, that nefarious dark raven.
