Bireuen adalah kota kelahiranku...
Sebuah kata yang akan selalu melekat dalam biodataku
Dari sanalah aku berasal
Menghabiskan sebagian dari umurku
Di sana ada cinta yang tak pernah padam
Di sana doa-doa untukku dikirimkan
Dengan harapan agar aku bahagia dan baik-baik saja

Bireuen...
Sering ku menangis dalam kerinduan
Akan selalu ada sepucuk harap
untuk kembali menetap suatu hari
Ingin ku mengabdi di sana
Mengaplikasikan ilmu yang bertahun-tahun ku kejar
Namun saat itu tidak ada peluang untukku bertahan

Bireuen...
Suka dan dukaku pernah tertoreh di sana
Di lembar-lembar puing kenangan
Masa kecilku sangat bahagia
Masa remaja yang sarat makna
Biarlah bayangan masa itu ku simpan di sudut memoriku

Bireuen...
Ku tanamkan tekad dalam hati
Suatu hari aku akan kembali
Membangun rumah impianku di sana
Ingin ku hirup udara pagi
Di salah satu desa kecamatan Juli
