Life & Death Haikus: Aging Rep-utation 2 (Original Poem)

in #poetry6 years ago (edited)

Reps of age plus one
Acclimate to stay prepared
For the next level...

Since writing the last post on this subject. I actually readjusted this approach method and your reps within your sets in your workout sessions should be your age plus one additional rep. That way you are one step ahead of your own age and it prepares you for the next level each time a birthday passes. You'll be essentially prepared for the year following that and then some. So when I am 37 years old in the future, my reps should be 38 in total per set. Let's say I do three sets of pushups, then each set will have 38 reps. And I would space them out amongst other variations or different types of exercises as not to completely burnout and deplete my energy unless that is the intended purpose. If I do a certain exercise in the case that a particular muscle cannot perform a consecutive 38 reps, then I will break that into smaller sets. For example, One set of pullups would be 38 reps but then I would break it up evenly into 3 mini sets with 30 second to 1 minute rests in between each mini set for 12-13 reps per mini set. But the sooner you start to use this age to rep method, especially from your teen to early twenties range, you will be well prepared developing and strengthening your muscles for your later aging years of thirties forties and fifties. We gotta stay fit for ourselves and family and loved ones to live a long quality life.
