ALONE
Isn't it beautiful
To be alone,
Slipping through life
Like a phantom,
Fading from memories
Like the pale feet of harmattan?
Isn't the silence
Sweet, reaching
From your skin to your bones,
Feeding you with peace,
Pain and an affinity for night?
Isn't it obvious
That you are lost,
Cut off from the universe,
Hidden beneath the lies
You tell yourself?
Isn't it just fine
To be alone,
To seek painfully,
To find your way
Back home by yourself?
Isn't it beautiful
To be alone
With your thoughts,
Your regrets, your pain,
Your fears, your demons?
Isn't it just lovely
To be alone,
To eat your sorrows
And drink your fears,
To live on pain?
This poem was written under the influence of Malaria and lots of Lovely by Billie Ellish feat Khalid. Yes I am still listening to the song.
I am not really nice when I am ill. Just the worst kind of patient a nurse can ask for. I get despondent and cranky. Anyhow, I am done for today. You better live me dears. Just live.
