LOST: A POEM

I am lost,
Forgotten in the early breath
Of morning yawning to the fading moon.
I am seeking the song forgotten
By the lips of yesterday.
My tongue is swollen with the bitter
Taste of regret and the sour kiss
Of limp dreams, dying slow.
The paths before me are twisted
And maimed like a trapped grasscutter
And left or right, no where leads home.

If I ever find my way,
I want to tell mother that she's queen
And hold my lover close with a kiss.
I want to picture the beauty
Of those butterfly wings in a frame
And tell the world that the sea
Is just another land breathing air.
I want to see the sun set on the sea's head
And listen to the song of the waves
Washing my feet, licking my toes,
Sanctifying my flagging spirit.

I am having issues with my internet service so I can't seem to find it easy to use the Whaleshares website or any other website for that matter unless I do so at midnight. It makes it tiresome for curation purposes as well as posting purposes.

This is a quick poem before my internet goes bonkers on me yet again. It speaks of discovering oneself after being broken for too long.
