MOON'S HALO
My joints hurt
But the sky is purple,
The stars are out
And the moon has her halo.
My breath trembles
But the earth is soft,
Beneath my feet
Are pretty smooth stones.
My bones shiver
But dogs bark afar,
Fireflies flicker on the air
Like light towers on rocky shores.
My heart is broken
But there's peace in my head,
Children sing merry songs
And it is still lovely to be home.
