The stars, if the moon
Fails to give us light.
Let the darkness come,
We will consume it like
A rooster picking corn.
We will will salvation
Into being and we will
Set ourselves free.
Let me garnish it with lies
And an ancestry of warriors.
Bring the battle and the blood,
We will wipe it off with bread
And take it like communion.
We will will freedom
Into being and we will
Redeem ourselves from debt.
We will break the world
And force death to flee.
I am not joking
We will save the little light
That shines within our souls;
Oh yes, we will.
